The lights came out fairly dull in the photo, but they aren't--they are bright and pretty. We might get new ones for next year, the faceted ones that are beautiful and bright, but cheap to burn!
We had a lot of rain last night and this morning, at 7:30, it was 36 degrees...that is COLD for us! There was frost all over the roofs around here. Very Christmasy!!
Talk to you soon...love to Catnip!!
Shirley
Like Shirley, we have had VERY little snow up here (none on the ground now) and warmer than usual temps, but that doesn't seem to have deterred the holiday house lighting around here. The emphasis is on house lighting as opposed to illuminated lawn displays, since the yobs and yahoos seem to think it is okay to vandalize the latter. (Must be a heck of a lot of inbreeding around, because I'm sure most of these idiots have an IQ level approximating their shoe size)!
I also notice that more and more folks are going for the new energy-saving LED lighting. We don't put up outdoor lighting because the house we are renting is an older house without an exterior electrical outlet (and the owner is too stingy to put one in) so we concentrate on window lighting....looks pretty good because were are in a rural location, and the only street lighting is a light down at the end of our driveway (150 feet from the house). All in all, the lack of snow doesn't seem to have dampened the holiday spirit up here, because there is no lack of exterior decorating.
Roll on spring and warm weather!!!!
