Smoking:Logic being a smoker so I start with this law.It is illegal to smoke in all restaurants, bars, public buildings, most hotel room, and public transportation.It is legal however though not in the restaurants, to smoke in the Indian Gaming Casinos and bars. You must be 21 years of age however to drink in California and to enter a casino in Palm Springs. There are other casinos in California where entering a casino requires you to only be 18 years of age though the 21 years to drink law stands.Some cities are banning smoking within the entire city all together.Smoking and drinking on beaches in California is now also illegal.Theme parks like Disneyland allow smoking in a few restricted areas within the park other then that it to is illegal.Cellular Phone Use: Effective January 2008 cell phone use while operating a cell phone became illegal though it is widely rumored that some people are already being warned in our neighboring county of San Diego, even though the heavy policing of cell phone use while operating a vehicle does not truly take affect until June 2008.
Logic is thinking of banning Starbucks Coffee in the offices of our headquarters. Ok just kidding but if these types of restrictions continue we (California) are not going to be a truly fun place to come to.
