Have you ridden the Palm SPrings Aerial Tramway? Share your experience because it is a memory for Logic to always remember the trip to the top of the San Jacinto Mountains, then just hike around look out over the Colorado Desert and see the Salton Sea lake way down to other end of the Coachella Valley.
It is located 2 miles up towards the San Jacinto Mountains off Tramway Road the old gas station turned now into the welcoming center for the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism's, Visitor Center. Cars depart several times each hour and it is a lot of fun and in fact you get your picture taken by and expert when you are about to board the tram car for you to purchase if you like.
As a kid growing up in Palm Springs I can remember going up to the Palm Springs Tramway (www.pstramway.com) atleast 4 times per year. Once in the summer to get away from the heat & go hiking with family & friends...the other time was during my Birthday to be able to play in the snow for the day. Some times we would just go up for the Ride 'n Dine for dinner. Back then the cars didn't rotate. Today it is so much fun going up to the tram. When the cars rotate you get to see so much more. One thing I have to agree, is the feeling you get when you over over the towers...it does tend to sway back & forth. But it is a fun trip. We did not go up on this last trip in October 2007, but I am planning to go up in Oct. 2008
For those people just visiting Palm Springs for the 1st time of may be several times & you have NEVER been up... Hey it is worth it... I recommend it... It is PALM SPRINGS
