My name is John Stadnyk.  I'm new to the forum.  I'm a Canadian planning for retirement.  I've been looking at condo style realestate in the area and would like some honest local wisdom on what areas to buy in and (more importantly), what areas NOT to buy in.  We're looking for a modest style of living, nothing too fancy.  Somewhere safe, with a fun, relaxed atmosphere.  Most likely in a "gated" community.

Realtors are (sometimes) hard to trust.  You never know if they're trying to push a dead listing, or really sell you what you're looking for.  Especially if you're coming in blind.

We have a trip planned in April to do some exploring.
