We are in the throes of (for what passes up here) a veritable heat wave! For two days running we have had sunshine and temperatures in the low 80's (once the coastal fog burned off in the morning, that is). Unfortunately, the down side is that the humidity was also in the 80% range, and, as usual, people were bitching about the "awful" heat. My response to anyone who opens a conversation with "Isn't this heat just awful?" is, "Just think about this next February when it's -20 and we're up to our collective asses in snow!"
Oh well... hopefully by next February we'll be living down there, rather than up here.

Today at 10PM...Yakima, WA & Palm Springs, CA are both at 52 degrees outside. That might not be a heatwave for PS, but for us in the winter it is Plus we have high winds...a warm wind called a Chinook... We are known as Yakima, "The Palm Springs of Washington"

I wish I(WE) could be in the desert right NOW
Enjoy the warmth...
