I know what your going through. Could use a major dose of Palm Springs myself. Usually I try to get there about once or twice a year, but this year it didn't happen.
The best I can is watch the cams. Here is Pennsylvania after having a couple of days in the 70's we are about to get 3-6 inches of snow!
