Also, has anyone seen his house and can describe it for me?
Thanks for your time.
Barry is a local favorite and he is a giving person. Logic does know a little about the Barry Manilow entertainer however in Palm Springs he has a host of favorite hangouts that we are not going to mention because we all like having him living here when he is not working in Las Vegas. He gives a lot to our non profit fund raisers by entertaining the guests, and in fact we have not yet heard a single no from this man when it comes to giving around Palm Springs. In fact he is on the board of a local animal rescue actually one of our clients http://www.DesertPaws.com
Hope you will visit our forum more often and as for where Barry is seen a lot perhaps a local that sees your post will have an answer for you.
I followed a couple of other links and wound up at an adoption site for rabbits. You all know I love rabbits, 'specially our three little buns Icee, Cottie, and Pixie. (Icee is old and not in good shape...we are keeping him comfortable and feeding him well until he "crosses the rainbow bridge" and sees our baby Snowball again, which may not be long from now.) Anyway, this place is trying to do so much good for these little darlings. Any of you who are interested in helping these little creatures of any kind, visit the DesertPaws website! Look at all the beautiful animals there...you'd have to have a heart of stone to not be touched by them. I believe God has our beloved pets, who have passed on, in a special place where we will be reunited someday!
XOXOXOX....
Last month I had to have one of our two cats put to sleep (cancer of the kidneys). This is the fourth cat I have had to have put down in three years, and I want everyone to know that it doesn't get any easier. (During my military service, I have shot at - and probably killed - humans, and not thinking twice about it, but having to put an animal to sleep really breaks me up). Our remaing cat is a ten year-old male Ragdoll (for whatever reason he was abandonded by his previous owners), and he is very territorial, so we are going to adopt either a young cat or kitten to keep him company, on the assumption that he will not perceive a younger cat or kitten as much of a threat to the pecking order as an older cat might. (This is based on past experiences, so at least we have an idea of how things should turn out). Anyway, we'll keep you informed.
Have a great day, everyone,
Don
I am sorry to hear that you had to put your kitty down. I know it was for the best, but that doesn't make it easier. We had to put my Basset Hound George down due to cancer, the day after Thanksgiving 1986. That was tough...he was the last dog I had. My Mom had to put her poodle down a few years back on the birthday So that wasn't fun either.
Think about it, most of us make the pets part of our family. We have two great cats, Chung-Li' & Tiger..we love them very much & we consider them our fuzzy kids. It is tough to leave them when we are on vacation... When the kids or our neighbors watch them, they know they miss us, and when they get back they are very glad to see us. Sometimes they pout when we get home, but what kid doesn't. Just wanted to share that. Keep the last guy happy and healthy...I am sure he'll be with you for some time.
Take care and think SUMMER...and yes...October 2007....Dinner & Party Time

For the first full day of spring, our weather was cold--colder than it's been in a few weeks. We had slight drizzle today after a bit of "actual rain" yesterday (a whopping 0.2 inches!). We were told it would be warm this weekend, but now they've kinda backed off of that. I just hope it is warm enough to barbecue! However, at least we didn't get snow!
Hope everything else is OK up there...talk to you soon! XOXOXOX
On a related note, when Dorothy (my daughter) got leave from the army to come down to be with Carolee during my operation in January, she brought a small poster with her, which we put up on the wall. It shows a very smug-looking large furry cat lying on a cat bed, and above it in large print is "We got rid of the kids....the cat was allergic". Somehow that seems to pretty much sum up our lifestyle - in a humorous way, of course.
And Lesley..I can appreciate your feelings when you had to have the bunnies put down - my thoughts are with you, and I'm sure the bunnies are in Rainbow Bridge, too.
Take care, everyone,
