As the heat has arrived in the desert, may I suggest a cool place to get away from it all, to rest up, and relax.

Sounds like a great idea! I havent been on it since I was, um, maybe 12! Who has been on it since they put in the new tram car? I'd love to hear about it!

Hi Alady--I was on it (For the very first time ever in my life!) last October, the day of the PSView party. I have a real fear of heights and tight spaces, so this was an incredible leap for me!!! w00t

Going down was OK--I handled that fine--but going up, I had my eyes closed several times when it began to be too much for me. It was jammed inside going up, but really empty coming back. The rotation didn't add to my fears--it goes slowly. But that feeling, when you get near the summit, of going straight up...it freaked me out!! I was panicky inside and smiling on the outside!! HAHA! Once we got up there, I was fine. We hiked all around and stood on places to get great pix. The weather was not the clearest, but even so, the view of PS from there is AWESOME. I would recommend it to anyone who can handle it--I don't really know if I could do it again. My husband was on it years ago and LOVED it, and our son wants to do it again...he was on it a couple of years ago. It's something I can at least say I have done!!! Cool

Wow Leslie,

I could barely handle Knotts water park rides! Maybe, just maybe I would consider going this October with anyone who wants to go before this years PS View party. Anyone in? That could be fun!

hi everyone - i've been a "voyeur" lately on the boards Wink

i agree with leslie on the tram ride. the ride up was definitely scarier than the ride down! i was on the tram in 2003. is there a newer version? i'm sorry to miss the get-together in october - we'll be in las vegas, then to tucson for a family wedding. however, we'll be in p.s. in early march at our timeshare. can't wait! david, i'm with ya on the sticky weather. here in maryland the whole summer is very high humidity. even when the temp is low, its still miserable. can't wait for retirement (4 years, thank you) and the move west BigGrin

Hello Everyone...

Today at the Tramway it is 21 degrees & we have SNOW 8 to 9 inches...so FAR

So it looks like we will have a White Christmas at the top of the Coachella Valley Smile Check it out, family fun(snow shoeing, sleding, & cross country skiing), plus we have 2 resturants at the top...
