I can remember as a kid growing up in Palm Springs(1970's) that during the REAL summer time the Snowbirds would leave, shops & resturants closed until October, and you only saw die hards and weekenders in the desert. So I know how you feel LOGIC... Now everything seems to stay open year around and more people live in the region on a year around basis too. How things have changed.
One memory I have, is the Resturant "Louise Pantry" next/front to the Plaza Theatre on Palm Canyon Dr. I can remember it had some of best Sunday breakfast's around. During the season on the weekends, you had to stand in line for breakfast. And next to that was a candyshop(not See's Candies), but it had a giant CandyCane out front, they closed for the summer too, and then opened in the fall again... They had some good stuff too. Red, you might remember the places I am talking about!
I just want everyone to enjoy Palm Springs... It is a Cool & Special place, and even though I do not live there at the moment, I always consider it home, and hold in it a special place in my heart
