Hi Everyone...Happy Long Weekend!! Mine's a 4-day-weekend...However, I have a cold...This is the 3rd one I have had since April, which is very unusual for me! Hopefully it won't ruin my whole weekend... Sad

I need a big dose of PS sunshine!!

This weekend will be spent making this house new...we got our kitchen counters put in today (after a month, we will again have a kitchen sink!!!); the new dishwasher goes in tomorrow; and our new sofa arrives Saturday. Plus my friend who hemmed my new curtains for the front door is bringing those tomorrow! We didn't plan all of this to be this way--only the kitchen and dishwasher. We're at the mercy of installers...it's a mess in here right now.

Hi Lesley..

Sorry to hear you are sick... The doctor's perscription for you is a few days laying in the Palm Springs sun...with Logic mixing the drinks...and bringing you back to good health!!! Cool Have a GREAT and SAFE weekend...

Hey David--Happy Long Weekend!!!! Thanks for the RX--sounds like a plan to me--and I'm never allergic to THAT medicine!!! Tongue

Well, Friday was a wash--I was too sick. However, they delivered our new dishwasher, installed it, and the (are you all ready) DOOR came off its hinge. w00t

Now, a door on a dishwasher is very important--keeps the water off your floor!!! Mind you, this was a more expensive model than we originally looked for--we decided to "step up" a bit and get one of those quieter types. Yeah, it's quiet...when you lean against the door for the whole cycle!!! Otherwise, sounds like a thunderstorm coming thru the kitchen! Pinch

When he left, he told me he was calling Lowe's, the installation company, etc. No one called...so we went to Lowe's yesterday, and lo (Lowe?) and behold, he never reported it. Angry

Because of the holiday weekend, it will take several days to reorder, etc. It seems that the dishwasher must have been made that way, went thru quality control, etc.--but how? And WE got it!! Crazy

However, it does wash dishes, so I have been doing just that, as all our stuff has been sitting out because of the new countertops, and everything had a fine coating of granite dust on it. I just keep a beach towel nearby to catch drips. At least our dishes and utensils are clean now. I will cover everything up completely when they come back on Tuesday to finish the counters. AND, the sofa arrived, and something MUST be wrong--it isn't torn, burned, covered in the wrong material...HA! It looks very pretty. Smile

Sorry to go on, but it is almost comical...ALMOST. There were a bunch of screwups with the countertops, too, so this is nearly enough to put you off of upgrading your home! Well, at least the end is in sight...till we do landscaping next year (ha!). At least that's OUTSIDE!!

Hope EVERYONE is having a fantastic weekend--it is SO hot here; I'm loving it!! I felt a little better Sat., and quite a bit better today, so at least half of the weekend will be good!! LOVE and safe, happy fun to all..............

Hi Lesley and rest of the PSview gang...

Well unforturenly, I spent Saturday night..Sunday and most of Monday in the hospital. Sad I had a small blockage in my small intestine. So I got to spend time with a NG tube taking out the bad stuff in my stomach and a PCA machine feeding me Dermiral(in meds) and an IV to keep me hydrated all weekend long. I am home now, as the blockage broke free and I can eat again. Not a fun time. So in short Labor Day 2006 was a bust. But I am feeling better. Hope you are all doing good too.

Whoooooaaa, David--Not Good!!! I am so glad you are on the road to recovery--but what an awful thing. Ah yes, Demerol...it made me hallucinate when they gave it to me during labor 19 yrs. ago! I didn't know where I was or why I was there! Sick

HA! Anyway, I am so sorry you have been ill...glad you are home now. PLEASE take it easy and we will definitely say a prayer for your complete recovery. Wink

Oh my dear friend and proud member of PsView.com and the PalmSpringsForum.com, actually anything Palm Springs our David loves. It is going to be ok perhaps an emergency trip to Palm Springs early instead of 2007 would be required and the doctor might prescribe this cure all place for your speedy recovery. We all at Viper Logic love you very much and please keep us informed as to how you are felling. We know you are good hands with Joanne by your side. w00t
